Q: Is it too late to sign up?

A: It is not too late to sign up

Q: Can my child play for the Jets if we live out of town?

A: Yes, surrounding towns including Salisbury, Seabrook, and  S. Hampton can all participate in Jets Youth Football and cheering.  

Q: I have no experience, can I coach or help?  

A: Yes.  All coaches and volunteers must go through CORI background checks, and coaches participate in mandatory Heads Up football training.    

Q:  Are soccer cleats alright, or does my child need football cleats.

A:  Football cleats are recommended but for 3rd and 4th graders, soccer cleats would be ok.  Grades 5-8 should wear football cleats. No hard plastic or metal cleats allowed. Soft rubber cleats only.

Q:  What team is my child on?

A:  Right now, for purposes of equipment pick up and the first practices, kids are grouped by grade.  Later on, coaches will put together the final rosters for each team. For information on each team, including coaches and practice schedule, see the different Football Team pages, accessible from the Top Menu Bar. 

Q:  How often are practices?

A:  August pre-season practice is M-TH/F.  Once school and the season starts, practices are typically 2-3 times a week.

Q:  When are games?

A:  Games are either Saturdays or Sundays. 

Q:  What equipment do I need to buy?

A:  Items including mouth guards, practice pants with belt, socks  and cleats.
Other equipment will be supplied by the team including uniform, helmet and shoulder pads.

Q:  When do the kids get their equipment?

A:  First week of August equipment hand-out will begins. The coaches will set up a time for equipment pick up, which will include helmets, uniforms, and pads.  (See upcoming events for equipment pick up schedule)
